It took almost 6 years for us to revisit this place due to the pandemic, summer in Hongkong is not the best time to visit though because it's too hot and humid. But despite the weather, we still enjoyed our stay in Hongkong.
Staying at the Regal Kowloon Hotel is the most perfect place in the area since it is near the restaurant, and stores, and the MTR station is just a few blocks from the hotel. It is very convenient to stay in this place because of its accessibility. The square/park is the view from our hotel room. The funny thing is, a few hours after we arrived we went out to eat then suddenly it rained so hard that we thought it would last for hours so we ended up buying five umbrellas for us to cross the park then minutes after we reached our hotel the rain stopped
Then this is our hotel room, and the view is from our parent's hotel room on the 15th floor (we got 2 separate rooms for us and our parents) since they are staying in a suite while we are occupying a standard room on the 8th floor.
Around 6 in the evening, we left our hotel to start roaming around the city, our first stop was Mongkok (specifically Sneaker Street) too bad though I didn't have pictures while we were walking around Sneaker Street mainly because we were busy looking for shoes and also atm that we end up walking to the east part of Mongkok. It was a bit confusing cause got lost in the city and we were still a bit tired from flying the whole day but it was still worth it cause the place we dined served delicious food and the owner was so kind to us (too bad we forgot the name of the restaurant event which street it was located)
Since our second day in Hongkong falls on my Birthday, we decided to try the cable car going to Ngongping Village, have a quick tour at citygate, and then head back to Disneyland for late lunch until it's closing.
Our first cable car experience, thank goodness I booked our ride to klook our line is quicker however since we opted for the crystal cabin ride, it took us almost 30 minutes to line up since there are only a few crystal cabins available. In these photos below are just some of the views we saw during our cable car ride, the bridge that goes down in the sea is the one that connects to Macao (or the Hongkong-Zhuhai-Macao bridge) the other view is from a town in Hongkong (which I have no idea what's the name is)
Due to our limited time, we didn't reach the big buddha because it would take us a lot of time and we are still going to Disneyland after this one. (maybe next time we will visit Ngong Ping village again)
At least, Doraemon welcomes us at the gate area of the village. The weather is so freaking hot around this time though
Again, as I said earlier it was freaking hot that day that I end up holding an umbrella in this photo. I cannot stand longer in the sun. It was around 2pm we still hadn't eaten our lunch yet and we were heading to Disneyland
Here's a tip, if you visit any Disneyland on your birthday, visit their city hall and ask for a birthday badge cause they always give one. Here's my birthday badge but I didn't wear it when I was in Disneyland cause I was afraid that it might fall. However, they said that if you wear your badge Disney staff will greet you (I'm not sure about the other perks though). Also, see how hot it was everyone is bringing their umbrellas lol
Whenever we were in Disney I always strolled the place alone, this time I rode the jungle cruise, and the funny thing is everyone in the boat was Chinese I was the only foreigner so the tour guide spoke Chinese the whole time while I was just looking around. The one in the photo is Tarzan's treehouse. The next stop was Frozen Park - this is one of the reasons why we went back to Disneyland though. Good thing I saw my brother and his girlfriend in the area the three of us went to Frozen Ever After. We were lining up for 30 minutes to try the 6-minute ride yet it is still worth it because the presentation inside is so magical and fun as well.
These are just two of many random photos I took while we were in Disneyland. On the right photo, is how the park looks after the momentous ends and everyone is going out from the park. Another tip is that when you walk always hold your companion because there will be a big crowd of people walking toward the gate make sure to hold or carry your kids.

And lastly, before I end this post here is the castle appreciation photo. During our first visit, the castle was ruined due to the typhoon that hit the country weeks before we arrived in 2018, hence there was no castle during that time and the finale was a show with Mickey and friends. This time however is our first time to watch the momentous and we are so lucky that we found a spot much closer to the castle. Imagine we were sitting there since 6 pm and the momentous starts at 9 pm and it was only a 20-minute show, still it was worth the wait watching it closer.
I will end this post here, see you on my Macao post after this!
