Eight months. That's how long it took us to finally be back at the beach this year however, just like everywhere else going to the beach is kind of hassle these days due to the new normal protocols. Thank God last week (October 9) we are able to hit the beach.  

Since Samal Island has a new protocols during this pandemic people from Davao need to get a QR-code from the resort and then wait for 2 to 3 days for there reply. 

How to book a day or overnight stay in any resort in Samal Island during this pandemic:

1. Contact the resort of your choice, for us I message Costa Marina Resort  via Facebook messenger, then they ask everyone of us to send a government issued ID make it sure that your address and age is stated in your IDs.

2. Fill out the forms given by the resort, once done you have to wait for 2 to 3 days for their reply since according to them they have send all forms to the city hall office for approval before the guest can receive all their QR codes. 

3, Payment. The resort ask us to pay our entrance fee through bank or online transaction.

4. Each person registered will be given a QR code and it will be sent through email. 

That's it! Now you can enjoy your beach day. 

We decided to go on a weekday to avoid large crowds though the resort only limit there guest specially on weekends its still safe to go on a smaller crowd. The fewer, the safer.  

While in the boat the staffs ask for our QR code for scanning, once we arrived at the resort there's another form to fill up also to double check the guest who enters the resort.

And lucky for us the water level remains like that most of the day hence we don't need to go far from the shore. 

The resort only had 17 guests for that day.

Unlike before, the boat ride from the island back to Davao is only until 4 pm, once all the guest are already back in the city the resort will closed for the day. We left the island around past 3 in the afternoon. Before leaving, the staffs ask us to scan again the QR-code since the code is only valid to use for a day. 

Time to go home, spent the whole day in the beach was tiring but always fun and relaxing. 

Boats are waiting for the guests, everyone was already preparing during that time.
